Museum for Drawing

The Museum for Drawing is an artistic project. It is dedicated to the medium of drawing in all its forms, from the first child's doodle to designer sketches, shopping lists, directions, or drawings by Leonardo Da Vinci. Unlike the museum landscape, which has divided museums into specialized fields since the 19th century, the Museum of Drawing is interdisciplinary and location-independent!

In 2015, it was publicly presented for the first time in Kolumba.
There is custom furniture that is portable and allows for rearranging and reassembling. Small shelves mounted on wooden walls hold parts of the constantly growing and changing collection. The material consists primarily of printed materials, loose sheets, or books that can be handled. This decision frees me from the conservational side effects when exhibiting paper works and "reduces" all pieces to a similar size, making them placeable next to each other. The printed materials represent a work, they do not replace it!

The Museum for Drawing is an institution with all the associated features and possibilities, meaning that symposia on specific topics can be held, lectures can be given, and its own publications can be released. The Museum for Drawing has its own website: www.museumfuerzeichnung.com
